 We
like to say if you're going to take a vacation you should relax,
sleep late, and eat well. Touring and other recreational activities
can wait until after you're rested and refreshed.
Our
home on the pristine shores of Scow Bay on the west side of Marrowstone
Island near Port Townsend, Washington, allows all this and more.
You'll
find serenity in the spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains
and uninhabited Indian Island across the bay. Take a morning swim
or a romantic sunset canoe cruise around the protected waters. Walk
the quiet beach and enjoy the clean, fresh air.
When
you're ready to begin exploring the area, the Olympic Peninsula
has many attractions to choose from, including:
- Fort
Flagler State Park is just minutes away on Marrowstone and has
miles of trails and beaches for
 talking
long walks. The views of the Olympic Mountains, Mount Rainier,
Mount Baker, Port Townsend, and the shipping lane traffic are
beyond words.
- Port
Townsend has various festivals almost every weekend and in the
summer the Farmer's Market offers fresh fruits, vegetables, and
seafood from local farmers and fishermen. There are several local
wineries and breweries, fabulous restaurants, and unique shops.
- Fort
Worden State Park is the home of Centrum Foundation, a center
of arts and creative education. Tour the light house, visit the
Marine Science Center, explore the miles of trails in the woods,
fields, and on the beaches, play in the bunkers, and relax on
the beach.
